Immigration Law – Other Immigration Categories
Our experienced immigration lawyers deal with a variety of cases, not just those listed in these pages.
The immigration categories are too varied to be listed here. They change on a day by day basis, particularly with the immigration authorities’ ongoing project to overhaul the system and replace it with a new points based system.
Our immigration lawyers adopt best practice procedures and can advise on all new developments and every area of immigration practice. We discuss long residence below, but whatever your immigration concern, whether it appears in this guide or not, please contact our top quality immigration lawyers to discuss your matter in confidence further.
Long Residence
We have particular experience in dealing with long residence cases. If you have built up 10 years lawful residence or 14 years long residence without lawful stay which is continuous (although short breaks are allowed) then you will be entitled to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain.
The evidence and procedure adopted in these applications is complex and specialised. Our legal team has a good record of success in these cases and will effectively take you through the requirements and guide you on getting indefinite leave after either the appeal or after an application. Contact our experienced immigration lawyers for more guidance on long residence issues.
Adoption
The process of foreign adoption is naturally fraught with difficulty. What can often be an emotionaly tiring process is made more difficult by exceptionally tough entry requirements for children that have been adopted by UK based parents. Our experienced immigration lawyers have dealt with these cases both on application and appeal and are able to advise from begining to end, not only on the rules themselves, but particularly on the approach taken by Home Office caseworkers.
